Speaking to State House reporters after a meeting of the National Police Council on Tuesday, Mohammed said the president was talking to the parties involved in the imbroglio and that there appeared to be hope for peace…CONTINUE READING>>
“He (President Tinubu) has shown that he is President for PDP and APC. We are going to work with him,” Mohammed said.
The governor’s comments come amid reports of a rift between Governor Simi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is currently Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This newspaper earlier reported that Fubara and Wike met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja in the morning.
The two men reportedly fell out less than six months after Fubara’s inauguration.
They have been in the news since the Rivers State House of Assembly began impeachment proceedings against the governor.
