According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have offered Reece James a new six-year deal which will be valid until June 2028 with the Blues wanting to include an option for a further season.

Midfielder Hopeful For Chelsea Move In January
Chelsea were hoping to complete the signing of highly rated 19-year-old midfield Arsen Zakharyan this summer and were willing to pay his €15m release clause but the move failed. However, Arsen Zakharyan is still hopeful that the deal could be completed in January. He said:
“There was an offer from Chelsea, but it was impossible to complete a transfer. Of course, I accepted – how can I reject that?”.
“I hope everything will be done soon… maybe in January”.
Chelsea considered Signing Sheffield United midfielder
According to the Sheffield Star, Chelsea were among the Premier League clubs that expressed an interest in signing Sander Berge on loan from Sheffield United before deadline day.
The report suggests that the Blues contacted United over a possible deal for Berge after his prospective move to Club Brugge fell apart.
