Man United ‘offer Star player £500k-a-week deal’
Manchester United have offered to make Paul Pogba the highest paid player in Premier League history in a bid to keep him at the club. The France international is one of a number of United players whose contract is up in the summer and, as reported by Sportsmail, he has so far shown little desire to extend his Old Trafford stay.
However, according to The Sun, United are preparing a gigantic offer in order to persuade him to stay on at the Theatre of Dreams. They report that the club are willing to offer him £400,000-a-week basic salary, with add ons likely to take him to the half-a-million mark. It is thought to be £100,000 more than any offer he is likely to receive on the continent.

Cristiano Ronaldo could exit Manchester United depending on who the next permanent manager is going to be at Old Trafford. According to a report in the Daily Star, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is seriously considering his future. The same report quotes a source who said:
“He [Cristiano Ronaldo] thought it would be better than this. He’s a born winner and want to be winning more trophies, so who the next manager turns out to be will help him decide his next move. Having arrived from Juventus in August, Ronaldo has been prolific individually at Manchester United. Chelsea ‘eye January move for Sergino Dest’
Chelsea have reportedly made an approach for Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest, who is out of favour at the Nou Camp under Xavi. Thomas Tuchel is keen to bolster his options on the right-hand side of defence, with Cesar Azpilicueta out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign.
Reece James has been first choice this season, scoring four goals and registering five assists in 16 Premier League appearances, but the Blues want more cover. According to SPORT, Tuchel’s No 1 target is 21-year-old Dest, who joined Barcelona from Ajax and has made 57 appearances for the Catalan side.
