Arsenal icon Ray Parlour has quashed suggestions that the Gunners could launch a shock bid for Harry Kane.

Kane has entered the final year of his contract at Tottenham, but Parlour believes it is ludicrous to think he would move to their biggest rivals.

Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge gave an update to Give Me Sport about his future and said: “He’s going to make a decision over the next few weeks. He needs to speak to Villarreal about whether he goes back on loan again or if it is on a permanent deal.

“If it was permanent, I think it would be around £20 million to £25 million.”

Arsenal enter race to sign Southampton midfielder

Arsenal have now entered the race to sign Liverpool target Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer, according to a report from Football Transfers.

The Gunners could see Thomas Partey leave the club in the upcoming window and they want to replace him with the 19-year-old. The club have already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea and are close to sealing moves for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
