No Premier League club has more Portuguese players in the squad than Wolverhampton. Matheus Nunes has recently become their most expensive player. Wolves signed the 23-year-old from Sporting CP for €45 million.
Chiquinho is another Portuguese player signed by the club on a four-and-a-half year deal with means that his contract will expire in 2027.
Both the players will now team up with Jose Sa, Bruno, Pedro Neto, Ruben Neves, Daniel Podence, Trincao, Fabio Silva, Nelson Semedo and Joao Moutinho.
Nunes said, “I’m very excited. For me, I could play tomorrow already, but I can’t because the game is Saturday, but I’m looking forward to it.”
