Former England captain Steph Houghton has signed a contrat extension to remain at Man City for another year. The former England captain has returned to her regular starting spot this season after an injury-hit campaign in 2021/22 saw her miss out on Euro 2022.
However, she has also not been selected as part of Sarina Wiegman’s World Cup 2023 squad but will get the chance to continue her career at City.
Messi wants to return to Barcelona
Lionel Messi’s father Jorge has confirmed that his son is keen on returning to Barcelona in the summer. After a meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at his residence, Jorge told JijantesFC, “Messi would love to return.”
Man Utd to make £50m bid for Mason Mount and prepare Harry Kane move
Manchester United are to make an offer of £50 million to sign Mason Mount this month. The club will also push Tottenham Hotspur to sell Harry Kane but currently believe it is unlikely to happen.
United are set to back manager Erik ten Hag and are also targeting signing a left-winger and another midfielder, in addition to Mount.
