The LaLiga giants waved goodbye to Karim Benzema this week after 14 years of service.
The Frenchman, who is set to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, leaves a huge gap at Santiago Bernabeu – which club chiefs hope to fill with Kane.
The Tottenham striker, who is out of contract next summer, is Real Madrid’s first choice target to replace Benzema.
Speculation claims that initial contact has been made between Carlo Ancelotti’s side and Spurs, as well as the England captain’s entourage.
Real will also reportedly keep the No9 shirt vacant in the hope that Kane will soon fill it.
That news is a bitter blow to United and their manager Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman has not yet given up hope of landing the Premier League’s all-time second top scorer.
However, Real are now using a familiar tactic to try and land the forward as one of their most legendary players offered his advice to Kane over his future.
And he left the Spurs ace in no doubt that he should head to the Bernabeu as he sent him a huge transfer message.
