Wolves have signed Brazilian midfielder Joao Gomes on a five-and-a-half-year deal from Flamengo. Wanderers have paid a reported £15m for the 21-year-old, who becomes Julen Lopetegui’s sixth signing.

Gomes’ deal, subject to a work permit and international clearance, has the option of an extra year at Wolves, who beat French side Lyon to his signature.

Chelsea make new Fernandez bid

Chelsea would reportedly like to pay Enzo Fernandez’s release clause in six payments across five years however Benfica would prefer the three instalments over the course of two years.

The payment plan is the final sticking point in the deal according to Sky Sports with the 21-year-old waiting to complete his medical in Lisbon.

Man United make contact with Frankfurt for Kamada

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt to discuss a possible move for Daichi Kamada before the end of the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, the 20-time English champions have made an enquiry for Kamada, as his contract with Frankfurt is due to expire at the end of June.

The 26-year-old made the move to his German club in 2017, and he has represented them on 157 occasions in all competitions, contributing 36 goals and 31 assists in the process.
