Labour party’s vice presidential candidate’s brother, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has been appointed as a special adviser on political matters to vice-president Kashim Shettima.
The spokesperson for the northern elders forum, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, took to his social media handle to announce his new appointment on Monday 8 September 2023.
According to the Leadership Newspaper, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said he has decided to be part of the political system in order to contribute his quota towards National development.
Expressing his zeal to contribute his quota to the National development in his capacity as special adviser on political matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said the public should be aware that he has accepted the call to serve as special adviser to the vice president.

Leadership Newspaper said that prior to his latest appointment, Baba-Ahmed held the position of chief of staff to the former Senate president Bukola Saraki from 2017 to 2019
