Victor Mbaoma was part of the players who earned a call-up for Super Eagles’ recent friendlies, and he showed why he was included when Enyimba faced Kwara United in Aba. He carried the motivation of the Super Eagles camp into the game because it took him only 3 minutes to beat Legendary goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba.
The second goal of the game came 12 minutes later, and it was also from Victor. Nine minutes into the second half, Victor scored the third goal, and it was his first hat trick as a professional, and it was the first of any player for Enyimba in the last 9 years.
He didn’t register any goal when he was with Akwa United, he scored four for Remo stars, his 3 goals for Enyimba means he now has 40 goals for the Elephants, but he is scoring 3 in a game for the first time.
This is his 17th goal for the season with Enyimba, 2 of the goals were in the CAF Confederation Cup and 15 in the NPFL. These 15 goals makes him the current leading scorer in the NPFL. Before the game, Victor was fourth on the scorer’s table, but he is now above Ishaq Rafiu, Yusuf Abdulazeez, and Chijoke Akuneto.
