Leeds United have given Barcelona a 48-hour ultimatum to complete a deal for Raphinha, according to Goal.

The end of the Raphinha transfer saga might be in sight, with Barca having finally been able to match the bid made by Chelsea for the Brazil winger.

The onus is now on Leeds to negotiate with the LaLiga side, who are the club that Raphinha would prefer to join having agreed personal terms with them in May.

Despite being less than stable when it comes to their finances, Barcelona have matched the £60 million ($72m) offer – including add-ons – that Leeds agreed with Chelsea last week.

Chelsea are currently in negotiations with five defenders as they look to reinforce their backline this summer, The Telegraph reports.

The five players are Nathan Ake, Jules Kounde, Matthijs de Ligt, Presnel Kimpembe and Kalidou Koulibaly.

The departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have left Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, in dire need of defensive recruits ahead of the upcoming new season.

Recall that Rudiger joined Real Madrid this summer while Christensen signed for Barcelona.

Manchester United have been approached about a potential swoop for Paulo Dybala as replacement for wantaway superstar Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to reports.

Dybala is currently a free agent after leaving Juventus at the end of last season and is being heavily linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s Roma, but United could join the race for his signature with Ronaldo’s impending departure leaving them short on options up front, reports ESPN.

Funnily enough, Ronaldo urged Dybala to move to Old Trafford when United considered an approach for him back in 2019, but the Argentine opted to stay in Turin instead.

ARSENAL manager Mikel Arteta has refused to rule out a transfer move for Youri Tielemans.

Tielemans has been linked with a switch to Arsenal this summer with just one year remaining on his contract with Leicester.

And following their thrilling 5-3 friendly victory over Nurnberg on Friday, Arteta acknowledged there were still deals they wanted to complete this window.

He said: “There are more things that we would like to do if we can but the market will dictate what we can do, but so far we are happy with what we have done.”
