President William Ruto on Thursday, drove himself to the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre to flag off the WRC Safari Rally Kenya.

Away from his usual Kaunda suits and top designer suits, the President was dressed in full Safari Rally drivers’ gear.

He arrived at the KICC where Sports CS Ababu Namwamba received him. This is, however, not the first time the Head of State has driven himself.

On September 4, 2023, Kenya hosted the Africa Climate Summit in Nairobi. In a surprise move, President Ruto drove himself from State House in an Autopax Air EV Yetu vehicle to KICC where the event was taking place.

He drove through State House Road to Kenyatta Avenue to Uhuru Highway and later to City Hallway for the function.
