Polygamist Shadreck Rwizi was residing in Mhondoro with his second wife at the time of his passing. Along with having children in Chivhu with his deceased first wife, he then relocated to Mhondoro to live with his second wife after her passing.
Rwizi passed away on June 16 and his remains were discovered on Friday night. Before he passed away, Rwizi is claimed to have told his cousins that he wished to be buried in Chivhu.
His two families, however, fought about where he should be interred. He allegedly told his second family he wanted to be buried at Mhondoro.
But now that a month has passed, he will be reinterred in Chivhu.

The strange exhumation was confirmed by a close relative.
“When he passed away, there was controversy over his final resting place.
“There was no appropriate expression of sadness, and they buried him in a small grave in Mhondoro.
“However, puppies howled all night long, and infants wailed as well.
One relative said that he “appeared” to them and told them to rebury their loved one at Chivhu.
He was staying with his second wife at the time of his death, and the family quarreled over whether or not to exhume him, claiming that doing so would be unfair to her.
The second wife and one of his sons, who opposed exhuming his father, were not present when the body was excavated, according to the relative.
As this was the Rwizi family’s second exhumation, a local who saw it claimed the family needs purification. “The body of their relative who had received a pauper’s burial was exhumed from Granville Cemetery on November 16, 2021.
“Maxwell Chimwamurombe and Garrison Ngoni Rwizi were buried in the same casket. “A post-mortem will be performed on Shadrecks’ body, which is in Harare.
