Worst Players....CONTINUE READING

1. J. Lindstrom.

The Frankfurt attacker was one of the worst players in today’s game against Real Madrid. He offered very little to his team going forward and struggled to keep up with the intensity of the game. An exact replica of his performance against Bayern Munich last weekend.

2. C. Lenz.

He really struggled up against Carvajal in today’s game. In defence, he was not up to his best but in attack, he offered his team an outlet from which they could hurt Real Madrid. Too bad that his decision making in the final third was very poor.

3. S. Rode

Nobody would blame him for putting in a poor performance in today’s game. He was up against the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kross and Valverde in midfield so there was nothing he could do.

Best Players.

1. Casemiro.

What a player the Brazilian midfielder is! In a season where everyone is expecting him to slow down due to his age, Casemiro has shown that age is nothing but a number. He was a steel in midfield today and none of Frankfurt’s players could get near him.

2. David Alaba.

Eyebrows were raised when he started over Rudiger at the back in today’s game but he rewarded his manager’s faith in him with a goal to put Real Madrid ahead in the game. He was also solid in defence for the team.

3. Karim Benzema.

Big Benz has kicked off from where he left off last season with Real Madrid. He was at his absolute best today and got a goal in the second half of the game. It’s evident that his pace has gone but he makes up for that with his excellent hold up play and understanding with Vinicius junior.
