Liverpool set to make one final offer to land PSG megastar...CONTINUE READING

According to AS in English, Liverpool ‘will make one final offer’ to sign PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window, as links with Real Madrid continue.

The Reds have been labelled as the ‘other major bidder’ in the race to sign the 23-year-old striker, whose contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer. Madrid, of course, are also heavily involved.

In his weekly newsletter for The Independent, Miguel Delaney (h/t AS in English) claims the Frenchman has yet to agree on terms regarding a contract with Los Blancos. The La Liga giants want to unveil him as their star signing this summer, with Mbappe already having rejected lucrative offers from PSG.

Mbappe is one of the biggest names in football right now, and for good reason. Those that have watched him play for AS Monaco, PSG, and the France national team, know all about his pace and directness when it comes to attacking the opposition’s box.

Can LFC fans dare to dream?

It remains to be seen, however, if the Reds actually have what it takes to land Mbappe. The numbers surrounding him, as of now, are a bit scary. Real Madrid apparently had a €200million bid for Mbappe turned down last summer.

Back in February this year, The Independent claimed PSG would be willing to pay him wages ‘in excess of £500,000, and closer to £1m a week’. Those are some serious numbers, especially with the Reds already finding it tough to extend Mohamed Salah’s contract beyond 2023.

So, can LFC financially afford someone like Mbappe? That is anyone’s guess. But having a superstar like him in the team would instantly boost our attack and cushion the blow in case Sadio Mane or Salah end up leaving the club in the near future.

It looks tough but nothing is impossible in football. Klopp’s signings at LFC are a major reason behind his success at the club. If the German wants Mbappe, our board would be wise to get him in.

But that can’t come at the cost of the financial health of the club. Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota have been signed at crucial junctures to prepare our attack for the future.

If we can make another sensible signing like that, perhaps we won’t regret missing out on Mbappe- if he does stay at PSG or leave them for a club not named Liverpool.

Chelsea and Barca in battle to sign Pl sensational

Leeds United playmaker Raphinha has become for some time now, one of the main options of Barcelona to reinforce the cule attack, and Ousmane Dembéle could leave the club as reported by Sports world.

However, it seems that the French man days are numbered at the Camp Nou, since he has not renewed and it does not seem that both the club and the Frenchman are going to end up reaching an agreement, also taking into account that the Frenchman is followed by teams like Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain.

The fact is that Barca will also have serious difficulties trying to close the signing of Raphinha, and that is Chelsea has also joined the bid for the Brazilian from Leeds United, according to the mirror.

The 25-year-old South American winger has been one of the most outstanding players in the Premier League this season, in which he has scored 10 goals for the English.

Raphinha has become one of the most sought-after names among big clubs, and the fact is that the Brazilian has had a great season, which, in addition to attracting the attention of Barça, has also attracted that of Chelsea, who dreams of being able to snatch this signing to the azulgrana team. However, FC Barcelona continues to start as a favorite in the negotiations.

Raphinha has expressed his desire to play with Xavi Hernández’s team and this has been confirmed by his representative, Deco.

Another of the main interested parties is Newcastle, who could only increase the numbers of his contract to try to convince him, but the Brazilian has also wanted to make it clear that he wants to be part of the project of a more important team, so the money will be more secondary.

The culés wait for the end of the English campaign to see if Leeds ends up relegating or not to sit down to negotiate with the British, so that at the moment the negotiations are on ‘stand by
