Reports suggest that Scott Sinclair has been training with Chelsea as he looks to secure his next move in professional football.

According to The Celtic Star, the winger has been pictured at Cobham as he maintains fitness for a potential upcoming move.

The 33-year-old was released by Championship side Preston North End over the summer, bringing to an end his time at his 14th different professional club.

He signed for Chelsea back in 2005, however didn’t make his professional debut for the Blues until 2007 in the League Cup against Wycombe Wanderers.

His Chelsea career was mostly full of loans away from the club, with his best spell arguably his final loan at Premier League side Wigan Athletic.

The best portions of his career have been undoubtedly after he left the Blues in 2010, with him briefly starring in the top flight for Swansea City in their maiden season in the top flight after leading them to promotion the campaign before.

Following a brief spell at big money Premier League side Manchester City, he eventually ended up at Celtic, where he played a key role in the Scottish side continuing their dominance of the league.

He was part of the treble winning side under Brendan Rodgers, before returning back to England.

However, after being released by Preston he was not picked up by a team over the summer, with The Celtic Star now reporting that he has returned to the West London side to train.

Obviously it is unlikely that he will end up with a deal to remain at Stamford Bridge, however the gesture from the club shows the good will that they have with one of their former players, despite him never really playing a key role for the club.
