Barcelona academy is known to have produced some of the greatest footballers in the world. On 25th November 2012, Barcelona traveled to Valencia to face Levante, a match in which the Catalan giants won with a 0-4 victory and ended up making a piece of history in the football world.
In the process of the match, Dani Alves who started the match from the right back position is the only player in the starting lineup that is not an academy product.
He was substituted because of an injury around a quarter an hour. His substitute Martin Montoya meant that the current Barcelona eleven players on the pitch are all products of La Masia academy. A history that the Catalan giants would be proud of.
With the likes of Victor Valdes, Xavi, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Pedro, Lionel Messi, and Cesc Fabregas all starting the match and substitute Martin Montoya who replaced Dani Alves, made up the eleven players from Barcelona academy.
