Chelsea are through to the knockout rounds of the European tournament with one game to spare, against Dinamo Zagreb in Stamford Bridge while Barcelona has been eliminated from the European tournament in the group stage for the second consecutive season.

One would think that Raphinha joined the wrong club and his dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League was short-lived, at least for this season.

However, it’s not a total loss for the 25-year-old because Barcelona are now going to the Europa league after their elimination from the UCL.

The Europa League may not be Barcelona’s preferred destination this season but one thing that’s certain is that it’s still an upgrade for Raphinha. If Raphinha was still at Leeds United, there’s no way that he’s going to play in the Europa league this season.
