Xavi’s side got a 4-0 win against Athletic Bilbao, keeping another clean sheet in the process. It was Ousmane Dembele’s show as the Frenchman scored the first goal and created the remaining three.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was in inspired form as he opened the scoring with a header after the goalkeeper saved his initial left-footed effort.
The French winger exchanged a one-two pass with Sergi Roberto, who scored the second goal of the game in the 18th minute.
He also created the goal which Robert Lewandowski scored from and also provided the assist that Ferran Torres, who replaced Pedri, scored from.
The win has helped Barcelona continue to mount pressure on Real Madrid, who also got all three points on matchday eleven with a 3-1 win against Sevilla. Carlo Ancelotti’s men are currently three points ahead of the Catalans.
The performance sees Ousmane Dembele feature on the team of the week based on ratings. The Frenchman was the best player in Spanish La Liga on matchday eleven after earning a perfect rating of 10.0.
Sergi Roberto and Robert Lewandowski also made it into the team of the week on matchday eleven. Barcelona’s youngster, Alex Balde was the fourth Barcelona player to feature on the team of the week.
