Three names that have come up recently are former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, and former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Mauricio Pochettino is the most likely candidate to take over the reins at Chelsea. The Argentine manager is highly regarded for his style of play, which emphasises possession and pressing.
He has a reputation for being able to get the most out of his players, and it was this that earned him his success at Tottenham. He has a good relationship with Chelsea’s owner, Roman Abramovich, which could help him settle in quickly at the club.
Zinedine Zidane is also a potential replacement for Potter. The French manager is a legend at Real Madrid, having led them to three consecutive Champions League titles.
He has a reputation for being able to get the best out of his players, and his attacking style of play would be sure to excite the Chelsea faithful. However, his wages may prove to be a stumbling block in any potential deal.
Finally, there has been talk of a potential reappointment of Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel left the club in September 2022, but his spell in charge saw the team reach the Champions League final and make an incredible run of form in the Premier League.
His knowledge of the club’s players and his impressive record in European competition could make him a perfect fit for the Blues.
