Spain enters their UEFA Nations League match against Portugal on a four-game winning streak. They have only lost once in Spain since October 2018, so they will be hopeful of a win on Thursday.

After being obliged to compete in the World Cup playoffs, Portugal did so with surprising ease, defeating Turkey and North Macedonia to clinch a ticket in Qatar 2022.

The last four encounters between these two have all resulted in draws, and that trend looks poised to continue. However, Both Teams qualified for the FIFA world cup but are not in the same group in the world cup.

Because Aymeric Laporte has withdrawn from Spain’s squad, Eric Garcia will partner Pau Torres at the defense. Thiago has returned to the national team and is expected to start in midfield against Portugal on Thursday.

Other Spanish players are available for selection against Portuguese national team. Spanish side are the favourites to beat Portugal in the opening fixture of group A.
