He regarded the statement as a tribal sentiment which he believed not to be factual. He stated further that Nigeria has more pressing issues that the government has to face rather than the argument on who developed Lagos.

You would recall that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide President claimed a few days ago that the Igbos developed certain parts of Lagos when the areas were still swampy and rural.

He said in a statement reported by Vanguard, ”It is laughable to hear Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the socio-cultural organization of the Igbo chipping tribal sentiment of contributing to the development of Lagos.
