According to the not so happy MPs, they say it was embarrassing that the Tower which cost 9 billion shillings was badly constructed referring to it as a demon that is tormenting them.

They say they hoped to get a new modern building with Dubai like luxury amenities like beauty treatment area, and a nice place to drink and eat but to their surprise the kitchen is still in a dilapidated manner that they are not safe to have a meal from there.

The MPs were scheduled to relocate to the towers on April 11th2024. The MPs lamented that after waiting for 14 years since the inception of the project, they find themselves in a building that does not meet their basic needs, let alone their expectations of luxury.

Nyaribari Chache MP, Zaheer Jhanda, has called for a thorough investigation into the expenditure of project funds, raising questions about the transparency and accountability of the construction process.

He has also demanded scrutiny of the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) members serving during the 11th and 12th Parliament to ascertain their role in overseeing the project.

National assembly speaker Moses Wetangula announced that the MPs will relocate to the facility in phases to allow a smoother transition.

“PSC is expediting the completion of the Bunge Tower in order to bridge the deficit in office accommodation for members,” Wetangula said..<<CONTINUE READING>>
