Ichung’wah was speaking during Parliamentary proceedings on Tuesday afternoon, where he also proposed the purchase of a modern presidential jet.
“As we consider the next few years’ budgets, [let us] consider the modernization of our military equipment, including the aircrafts that are used not just in the military but also in the police, including the presidential jet.”
He commended the military for standing with families of fallen soldiers and asked for consideration regarding budgetary allocation to the force to be able to help in this endeavour.
General Ogolla was laid to rest on Sunday at his home in Ng’iya, Siaya County as per his wishes to be interred within 72 hours of his death.
