Jose Mourinho’s side started on the back foot as Juventus came all out to score, but after the early exchange, Roma settled into the game with Mourinho’s tactics of six midfielders, including former Chelsea player Nemanja Matic and former Juventus player Paulo Dybala leading the line, working perfectly as they frustrated Juventus and took the lead in the 53rd minute through Gianluca Mancini, and Mourinho inspired his team from then till the final minute of the game to ensure Roma climbed into the Champions League places over champions AC Milan, who moved into 5th after losing to Fiorentina.
Mourinho has brought back beautiful and tactical football to Roma’s team, and they look forward to going a step further than they did last season by securing a Champions League spot. Juventus will play their next game without Moise Kean, who was shown the red card for violent conduct after coming on as a second-half substitute.
