Snake Island...CONTINUE READING

There is an island in Brazil where nobody would ever dare to walk. The last fisherman who got too close to his shores was discovered drifting in his boat days later, lifeless in a blood pool.

The mystery island is called as Ilha da Queimada Grande, and it is reputedly so deadly that the Brazilian government has made it illegal for anybody to enter. The island is threatened by golden lancehead snakes, a pit viper species and one of the world’s deadliest serpents. It is undeniably the most deadly area on the planet.

Death Valley National Park

Death Valley National Park, located between California and Nevada, is a zone of tremendous heat. It is officially the hottest place on Earth, with the highest recorded temperature of 56.6oC. And the valley’s name is well justified, as some trekkers have died due to the harsh conditions in the past.

Valley of Death

The valley at the base of Kikhpinych is beautiful, but the fumes from the volcano will kill you swiftly if you dare to approach. The concentrated hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide, among other chemicals, can rapidly kill small creatures, so use your zoom lens and avoid getting too close.

Gates of Hell

It is a natural gas field inside an underground cave that was set on fire by geologists in 1971 to prevent methane from escaping into the atmosphere.

The result is Turkmenistan Darvaza Gas Crater, which is 230 feet wide and 200 feet long and 66 feet deep, with flaming hotspots of orange flames and boiling mud.

It’s in the heart of the Karakum arid, near the settlement of Derweze, and it’s quite a sight at night amid the arid terrain.

Death Road in Bolivia

It is officially known as the North Yungas Road, and it connects La Paz to Coroico in Bolivia. Driving either way on this 43-mile switchback road, though, means placing your life into your own hands.

Thick fog, cliffs 2,000 feet below the road’s edge, landslides, and waterfalls make navigating dangerous (and horrifying). Until 1995, 200-300 drivers perished each year on this road, earning it the moniker “Death Road.”

Many of them killed were on trucks and buses attempting to navigate hairpin corners that were too narrow for their vehicles.

Danakil Desert

The Danakil Desert in East Africa stretches through northeastern Ethiopia, southern Eritrea, and northwestern Djibouti. This desert is well-known for its volcanoes and geysers, which spew out toxic gases and create terrible heat.

It is one of the most unfavorable and dangerous places on the planet. Daytime temperatures can exceed 50 °C (122 °F), making it an unpleasant location to visit or reside.

Oymyakon Russia

The Russian town of Oymyakon is located thousands of miles east of Moscow, in the heart of Siberia. It is one of the coldest spots on the planet, with frighteningly low temperatures for a permanently inhabited place.

The lowest temperature ever recorded in this location was -71.2 °C (-96.2 °F). Only 500 people live here, and they struggle to endure the terrible weather conditions. They live on the brink, not knowing if their bodies would last until the next morning. Mobile phones do not work in such chilly regions, and few crops thrive here.

Lake Natron in Tanzania

Lake Natron, located at the base of a mountain in Tanzania’s Gregory Rift, has extremely dangerous waters, making it one of the world’s most dangerous bodies of water. The water can reach lethal temperatures of up to 60 °C (140 °F). This lake is salt-saturated, with a pH ranging from 9 to 10.5.

Its state is so heinous that it can calcify dead bodies, burn animal and human skin, and remove ink from printed goods. Lake Natron’s waters are horrifyingly acidic.

Bermuda Triangle

It is a sliver of the Atlantic Ocean that is roughly triangulated between Florida, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda. For many years, the Bermuda Triangle has been known for numerous strange disappearances.

Many theories have been advanced to explain these disappearances, ranging from magnetic forces to aliens. Although most of these situations have been explained logically and rationally, some remain a mystery.

Skeleton Coast

The Skeleton Coast is a desolate stretch of coastline with terrible weather. It also provides absolutely no chance of survival if you are unfortunate enough to become stranded here. There is no food or fresh water available, and the harsh desert winds would quickly dehydrate you, with no shelter to provide comfort from the sun.

The sands are also littered with the bones of whales, seals, and even elephants that were washed up dead or were driven to the sea by thirst and died later..<<CONTINUE READING>>
