Contrary to previous speculation linking the Gunners with Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, Arteta has set his sights on Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
The recent defeats against Aston Villa and Bayern Munich highlighted the need for reinforcements in multiple areas of the pitch for Arsenal.
With midfield being a priority, Arteta is keen to secure the services of Zubimendi to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
