Haaland has an impressive goal scoring record in his young football career and that has made him an obvious target for defenders ahead of his debut season in England.

The 21-year-old has now warned opposition defenders who intend to mark him out that it would only mean more space for his teammates. Haaland is a tough striker to mark, and this makes him attract many defenders. So, he has warned that double-marking him would only mean more space for his teammates.

He says, “If people target me, it is more space for others. It’s not bad players I’m playing with, so more space for them. I know people want to stop me and if someone puts five men on me, it is more space for the others.”

Due to his incredible record, expectations are high on Haaland to hit the ground running in the English Premier League, but regardless of his brilliance on the pitch, he still needs time to adapt to his club’s style of play. The English Premier League is also tougher than Bundesliga, and he will have to adapt as well.
