Frenkie de Jong, a midfielder for the Netherlands national team and Barcelona, is still the club’s primary transfer target. The club’s negotiations with Barcelona are currently at an advanced stage, so the transfer saga may soon be coming to an end.

This week, the player is scheduled to go through his medical examinations in preparation for signing a three-year deal with the club.

He will become the second player that Manchester United has acquired.
