With just a three-point difference between both sides on the league table, they will be hoping to get the better of each other to boost their chances of winning the EPL trophy this season.
Presently, both sides aren’t at their best performance in the competition so they will be heading into this game being evenly matched and very determined to claim the win.
Well, in today’s article, I will be sharing some important changes Mikel Arteta could make to help Arsenal in defeating Manchester City. Let’s take a look.
1, Playing Takehiro Tomiyasu Ahead Of Ben White.
Recently, Ben White hasn’t been performing up to standard for Arsenal in the Premier League which is affecting the team’s displays in matches. The English International doesn’t seem to be offering the team much both offensively and defensively which calls for his immediate removal from Arsenal’s starting lineup.
Takehiro Tomiyasu who is both defensive and attacking-minded should be used ahead of Ben White when Arsenal faces Man City. He will strengthen the Gunners’ defense line against a fierce attacking-minded side like Man City and also make some contributions to the team’s attacking prowess.
2, Playing Zinchenko In The Midfield Ahead Of Granit Xhaka To Give Kieran Tierney Room In The Left-Back Position
Oleksandr Zinchenko is a very versatile player who can play as an orchestrator in Arsenal’s midfield department. He always drops into the middle to help Arsenal create goalscoring opportunities despite being used in the left-back position.
Playing him in the midfield for Arsenal will add another creative force to the team’s play which is what they need to win the midfield battle against Man City. Kieran Tierney’s ability obviously can’t be doubted and he will definitely handle the left-back position well for the Gunners against Pep Guardiola’s men.
