Tight clothing, high temperatures, direct sunlight, and vigorous exercise can all accentuate veins. Most of the time, their appearance on the hands is just aesthetic, but sometimes they can be an indicator of a more serious problem, such as vascular disease.

So what causes arm veins to become more obvious?
