A win against the newly-promoted Whites would have seen United pull level on points with Manchester City, who currently sit in second place in the table, but a draw has still seen them close the gap to just eight points.

Moreover, they have closed the gap on Manchester City, who are in second, to three points. This means that with a win in their upcoming away fixture against Leeds United, United could move into second place and within five points of Arsenal.

The Red Devils have been in fine form of late and have won four of their last five Premier League games, with their only blip being a surprise defeat to Arsenal.

Furthermore, they have shown an impressive defensive record, conceding just four goals in their last five games. This is in stark contrast to their early-season form, where they were conceding goals at an alarming rate.

With the title race now looking like a three-horse race, United will be looking to take advantage of their current form and push for glory.

One of the main reasons for their improved form has been the emergence of Marcus Rashford. The English forward has been a revelation this season, scoring 12 goals and providing three assists in 23 Premier League games.

He has become a fan favourite and is the engine that makes United’s attack tick. However, he can’t do it alone, and the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and David De Gea will need to step up and deliver in the latter stages of the season.

Additionally, United will need to keep their focus on the remaining games and ensure that they don’t slip up in any of their remaining fixtures. If they can do that and continue to grind out results, then the Red Devils could be celebrating a Premier League title in May.
