On Monday, February 12, 2024, Gbanger was paraded to the command headquarters in Makurdi, along with three other individuals who had been taken into custody for a variety of offences around the state.

Through the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Michael Ejelikwu, State Commandant of NSCDC Yakubu Ibrahim informed media that the child was defiled on Sunday by r*pe suspect Gbanger Terkimbi in the Mbakumur Peivi village of Guma LGA in Benue State.

He said that on January 25, the suspect was taken into custody after a medical check that proved his victim had sustained injuries, including wounds to her private area.

In a conversation with reporters on Sunday, he acknowledged the crime and said he was teaching the little girl sex at her request.

The NSCDC also said that the second suspect, 27-year-old Abdullahi Ali, also referred to as “Rayyamu and two pack,” was taken into custody at Ankpa Quarters in Makurdi on February 5 at around 11:49 a.m. on charges of theft, armed robbery, deceit, and criminal conspiracy.

Additionally, it was claimed that Ali had escaped from police custody once, even while wearing handcuffs, and from the NSCDC twice before being captured by civil defence officials.

The suspect told reporters that he was suffering in custody and that’s why he fled, pleading with the authorities to temper justice with compassion.

The other two suspects, drivers Aliyu Ali, 32, and Mustapha Aliyu, 27, were apprehended at Ugbokpo in Apa LGA on February 4 on charges of criminal conspiracy, theft, and deliberate damage of vital national assets.

The pair also had a stolen MF375 tractor in their custody, which the NSCDC PRO said was seized from the government of either Benue or Nasarawa State.

According to Ejelikwu, the case was still being investigated, and the suspects will either be prosecuted in court or turned over to the relevant authorities to face charges…CONTINUE READING>>
