Liverpool’s season may have finished in disappointment, but it’s difficult to call it anything other than a triumph.

What a ride it’s been for Reds fans. The Kop banner states, “Make us Dream,” and Jurgen Klopp’s players achieved just that. Never in the history of English football has a squad come so capable of winning everything.

They’ll have to make do with a League cup competition double for now, with Prem League failure followed by UEFA Champions League heartbreak in the last week of the season. It’s near, but it’s not quite there.

However, the fact that 500,000 fans turned out for a joyous procession last Sunday speaks its own narrative.

There is true pride in what Liverpool has accomplished this season, as well as the memories and moments it has brought.

The quadruple might be past them, but with Klopp’s commitment to the team only until at least 2026, there should be plenty of reason for hope at Anfield.

This group will undoubtedly return.
Player of the Season

It was simple in some ways. There will only be one competitor when you produce 31 goals, established 15 more, and deliver six or more flashes of amazing creativity.

Although Mohamed Salah would agree that this season he faced stiff competition.

Van Dijk, who has come back from one of the most catastrophic knee injuries to produce miracles. In all competitions, the Netherlands international made more than 50 appearances, and his performance, particularly in the 2nd half of the season, was excellent.

Trent Alexander-brilliance Arnold’s at right-back was unwavering, as was Alisson Becker’s dependable presence in goal. All of them will undoubtedly be named to the PFA Team of the Tournament.
The goal of the Season

Salah’s strike versus Manchester City at Liverpool in October wins the debate.

When the Egyptian got a pass via Curtis Jones in the right-hand corner of the opposition box, he didn’t stand a chance. He had his back to the goal and was surrounded by three defenders.

He knocked Bernardo Silva in behind and left Foden and Cancelo behind with strength and skill. He charged into the area, slicing the shot past Aymeric Laporte before blasting past Man city’s keeper and into the far back of the net with his right foot.

It was a fantastic goal in the most important of games. Salah was in fine form at the time, and this, together with his spectacular strike versus Watford in his next League match, only served to emphasize the point.
Performance of the Season

Choose your favorite! Perhaps you enjoyed the 5-0 victory against Watford a month earlier or the thrashing of Arsenal in November.

Perhaps the 6-0 thrashing of Leeds in February, the Champions League triumphs away to Porto and Atl Madrid, or the thrashing of Everton in December stick out. How about Wembley Stadium’s FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City?

But there could only be one correct answer.

The date is October 24, 2021. Old Trafford is a stadium in Manchester, England. Manchester United was defeated by Liverpool with a score of 0-5 in the Premier League.

At halftime, the score was four to one, and after 50 minutes, the score was five to one. Klopp’s team could have scored ten goals if they had truly wanted to.

That day, the away section sang beautifully. Throughout the day and night. It will be discussed for years.

The Season’s Disappointment

Regrettably, this occurred in the final game of a great campaign.

The handling of the Merseyside (and Real Madrid) fans before, during, and after the UEFA Champs League Final was a disgrace, and UEFA’s and certain French politicians’ responses have only exacerbated the problem.

After witnessing some of the incidents outside the Stadium in Paris firsthand and hearing countless other complaints from supporters, it is critical that this narrative not be swept under the rug. It is necessary to hold people accountable.

Nobody should attend a football game and be concerned about their security, or even worse.
The final decision

Overall, Liverpool should be optimistic about the years 2021-22. Klopp and his team showed incredible courage and skills to rebuild and come back better after the previous season’s troubles.

It’s understandable that they’ll be disappointed that they didn’t win the two most important events.

Their display in Paris versus Real Madrid was poor, and they paid the price for a series of unforced errors in the first part of the Premier League season, even if they were great in bringing back a fantastic City team in the New Year.
