The Chelsea manager have been promised to get the support of the new club owners this summer, so as to rebuild the team according to his own football philosophies and ideas.

The quality present in the Chelsea squad has dropped, since Antonio Rudiger announced he would be leaving the club this summer, considering how the defender has contributed to how well the team has performed since Thomas Tuchel became the manager of the team.

Chelsea would have to be smart in the transfer market this summer, by making transfer signings that could immediately uplift the quality of the team, and make them a very strong side to play against.

One aspect of the Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea team that has lagged behind, compared to Manchester City and Liverpool, is the ability for their forward players to constantly provide assist and score goals.

Manchester City have players like Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Kelvin De bruyne, and Others who could constantly produce attacking returns for the team, so as the Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.

Chelsea thought they have solved the goal scoring problems at the club, when they signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan last season, but the striker couldn’t replicate his Inter Milan form for the team, which could be as a result of a difference style of play, or Chelsea simply didn’t have the kind of players that could get him to score goals on a regular basis.

Although, the defense is one area Thomas Tuchel could be focusing on, in the transfer market this summer, but they would also need to make some important changes in other areas of the team, so as to unlock their attacking potentials next season, to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the title next season.

So in this article, we will be looking at the 3 things that could unlock the Chelsea attacking powers next season.

1. Get A Natural & Physical Defensive Midfieder

Having a well solid defensive midfield player, who have a physical presence in the middle of the pitch could help the attacking players to excel in their forward duties, while he does the dirty work for the team, trying to recover the ball from the opponents.

Thomas Tuchel uses the fragile Jorginho in most games as the defensive midfieder, he doesn’t have much physical presence in the middle of the park, but he is good at keeping the team ticking.

But when Chelsea are without the ball, they have to draw more men backward to surport the midfied in retrieving the ball, which affects the effectiveness of their attacking play.

Chelsea would need a defensive midfieder like Declan Rice, who has a huge physical presence, and knows how to use it to the advantage of his team, in breaking up opposition play, which allows the attack to regain the ball as quick as possible to attack, he stopps aerial ball with ease, and he also have great passing skills.

2. Sign A Natural Attacking Creative Player

The creativity in the Chelsea team to create go scoring chances from slim opportunity is very low, which makes it difficult for their attacking players to score or provide assists constantly.

The solution for this problem could be to sign a creative attacking player, who could easily sight his teammates in good positions to score goals, and could as well score goals himself. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

Ousmane Dembele is a player that could help Chelsea in that aspect, if they could get his signature this summer.

3. Get A New Striker

All the natural strikers at Chelsea seems to be low on confidence, and it could take time before they get their confidence back to start scoring on a regular basis for the club.

Romelu Lukaku is looking increasingly likely that he could leave the club this summer, with a return to Inter Milan a possible option.

Chelsea could become that lethal goal scoring team next season, if they sign a new striker, a creative midfieder to create the chances and as well score himself, then a solid defensive midfieder with a physical presence in the middle of the field.
