Liverpool ‘keeping tabs’ on Moises Caicedo

Liverpool are reportedly one of the sides eyeing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

The Ecuadorian impressed on the opening day of the season in the Seagulls’ win at Old Trafford and now appears to be on the radar of several sides.

According to 90min.com, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus and Liverpool are ‘keeping tabs’ on his progress, although Brighton are said to be relucant to sell the 20-year-old.

Liverpool have obvious Darwin Nunez solution that will terrify Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp probably assumed the injury crisis with which he had to deal in 2020/21 would be the worst of his career, but he’s in danger of matching it this season. The players who are currently unavailable come close to making a very competitive-looking Liverpool side.

Some of the missing men should return relatively soon, and the depleted Reds were still able to turn in a good performance in their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, even if they couldn’t get the three points.

However, the last thing Klopp needed was for a key player to make himself unnecessarily unavailable, which is exactly what Darwin Nunez accomplished with his red card against the Eagles.

The Uruguayan’s stupidity means he will now miss the matches with Manchester United, Bournemouth and Newcastle. A full-strength Liverpool would be confident of winning all three fixtures, particularly as the latter two are at Anfield. Their lack of forward options could prove costly though.

Conor Bradley form continues

Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley is loving life on loan at Bolton Wanderers and put in another impressive performance yesterday evening.

The 19-year-old scored the game’s only goal as the Whites defeated Morecambe on home soil. Bradley registered assists in both of Bolton’s opening two league fixtures, as well as netting in an EFL Trophy triumph over Salford City one week ago.

Another Liverpool loanee who caught the eye was James Balagizi, who bagged a brace as Crawley Town fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Northampton.

Liverpool FC announce formation of ground-breaking Supporters Board as FSG seek more fan engagement

Liverpool FC have signed a contract to establish the formation of a brand new Supporters Board that will aim to deliver meaningful fan representation at boardroom level at Anfield.

The agreement is being viewed as a ground-breaking one that will seek to place some power back into the hands of supporters and give them a voice over key strategic decisions within the club itself.

The formation of the Supporters Board comes some 16 months after the idea was first established following the collapse of the controversial European Super League, which was driven in England largely by Reds owners Fenway Sports Group and the Glazer family at Manchester United.

The legally-binding commitment is the culmination of behind-the-scenes talks between supporters’ unions and leadership figures within Liverpool – and the Board will allow fans to consult with the club directly over issues such as ticketing and beyond.

Yeremy Pino price

Liverpool will reportedly have to pay in excess of £41.9million to stand a chance of signing Villarreal forward, Yeremy Pino.

Jurgen Klopp’s side and a number of other European clubs have been linked with Pino, but will have to be prepared to meet the demands of his current employers to strike a deal.

Discussing the future of the 19-year-old in his CaughtOffisde column, Fabrizio Romano stated: “Many clubs have been following Yeremy Pino for months, he is a top player of the future that at least three Premier League clubs have been monitoring for some time.

“No proposals have been made yet to Villarreal, who would like more than €50m (£41.9m) for their young star, it will not be an easy negotiation.”

Darwin Nunez breaks silence after Liverpool red card

Darwin Nunez insists he will learn from his ‘mistakes’ after being shown a straight red card during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday night. Nunez will now miss the Reds’ next three Premier League matches due to suspension.

Liverpool fell behind inside the first half after Wilfried Zaha finished brilliantly past Alisson following a counter-attack by Palace. Luis Diaz superbly brought the Reds level shortly after Nunez was shown a red card for headbutting Palace defender Joachim Andersen.

Jurgen Klopp’s selection for Liverpool’s next match against Manchester United at Old Trafford is now even more difficult with the absence of Nunez. The Reds have a number of injuries in the squad to contend with already.

Nunez, who scored on his Premier League debut in the 2-2 draw with Fulham on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, was given his first start on Monday night and it ended prematurely.
