Many Liverpool fans will be hoping to see their team get back to winning ways in this famous Merseyside derby against Everton.
However, given Everton’s incredible victory over League leaders Arsenal last week, Liverpool must be aware of the threat Everton poses. This game will undoubtedly be difficult, and Liverpool must give it their all if they are to avoid falling further down the table.
Having said that, three players are expected to return for this crucial game, while four others are still out due to injuries. The following is a list of Liverpool players who have recently returned from injury and have been seen in full team training.
1. Diogo Jota
Jota is set to make his first league appearance for the year 2023 after recently returning from a calf injury. According to Klopp, he is likey to be in contention for the game on Monday.
2. Firmino
The Liverpool striker has returned from a calf injury and has recently been spotted training with the team. He is also likely to be selected for this game.
3. Virgil Van Dijk
Van Dijk is back in full team training and is expected to be in contention for this crucial game.
4. Fabinho
The veteran midfielder has returned to training after missing last weekend’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to illness. He is almost certainly going to start this game.
Meanwhile, the likes of Arthur (Muscle Injury), Thiago (Muscle Injury), Ibrahima Konate (Thigh Injury) and long-term absentee Luis Diaz are set to miss the fixture.
