Manchester United conceded one of the fastest goal in the league in just the second minute of the game through Italian Gnonto and this was all down to Ten Hag’s choice of starting 11. There are some players that he should not have started the match with and below are his worst mistakes.

1. Erik Ten Hag should not have started the match with Alejandro Garnacho when Jadon Sancho is available for selection. Garnacho missed many seaters when he should have scored them.

Sancho would not have missed those goal scoring chances, he would have scored at least one. If Garncho had scored the chances he got, he would have had a hat trick to his name before the end of first half.

2. Secondly, Anthony Elanga would have been chosen ahead of Wout Weghorst and then use Marcus Rashford as the main striker where Elanga and Sancho will now play from the right and left flanks respectively. Weghorst missed many golden chances which Rashford would not have missed if he were to play in that position.

3. Finally, Victor Lindelof should have played the right back position and would have been able to stop Gnonto. Diogo Dalot was just coming back from injury, looked rusty and was not up to his game which made Gnonto best him easily and scored the opening goal.
