Dienye Pepple, the state Chairman of the LP, asserted that the narratives on social media are misdirecting and emphasized that Comrade Beatrice Itubo remains the only gubernatorial candidate of the party.
He stated that they are getting ready in advance for the Gubernatorial ballot on the 11th of March.
We would like to make it clear that Mrs Beatrice Itubo is still the Labor Party candidate in Rivers State, and we are fully supporting her.
People speaking with reporters in Port Harcourt reinforced the demand for the Independent National Electoral Commission to take action as promised after the presidential and National Assembly Election results were announced.
Daily Post reported that he emphasized that INEC needs to make sure all their equipment is functioning properly, adding that the election results should first be compiled at the polling station level before proceeding to the ward level.
