In the plan which is set to be conducted in accordance with the military protocols and the honours, the officers will laid to rest beginning April 25-May 11.

The funeral services, KDF said, are also being guided by the wishes of the fallen soldiers and their families.

“Officers and service members have been assigned to support the families during this phase of mourning,” reads a notice.

The requiem mass is set to be held at the Moi Airbase, Eastleigh in Nairobi Today, Wednesday.

Sergeant Rose Nyawira who was the photographer attached to the CDF press unit will be buried Thursday at her Kagio home in Kirinyaga.

Senior Sergeant John Mureithi also from Kirinyaga will be laid to rest on Friday (April 26) at his Kirimunge home in the Kanyeki location.

Mureithi was an Air technician and the Moi Airbase.

The funeral service for the late Duncan Keitany, who was in charge of operations at Defence headquarters, has been set for Saturday (April 27) at Saos village, Eldana Ravine in Baringo.

That of late Major George Magondu who was a pilot is planned for the same day at his Karemeno home in Kieni, Nyeri.

On April 30, late Lieutenant Colonel David Sawe will be buried at his Kapkorio home, Sarora location in Nandi.

Sawe was an officer in charge of works maintenance at the Defence headquarters, infrastructure department.

Sergeant Cliphonce Omondi who was a security attached to the CDF will laid to rest on May 3 at his Ndiwo home, West Alego in Siaya.

That of Captain Hillary Litali who was the Aide-de-Camp to late Ogolla has been set for May 11 at Ndalu scheme in Tongaren, Bungoma.

Two other officers who also perished in the accident have already been buried.

They are Brigadier Swale Saidi (Brigade commander Engineers brigade) and Captain Mohamed Sora (Pilot No.53 Squadron).
