Karim Benzema To Leave Real Madrid With Harry Kane Potential Replacement

Karim Benzema is set to announce that he is leaving Real Madrid in the summer.

The Frenchman will depart after 14 trophy laden seasons at Madrid, with Harry Kane emerging as a potential target to replace the Real legend.

Benzema signed for the La Liga giants in the 2009 following his impressive stint at Lyon.

After winning a multitude of honours at Madrid, including five Champions League and four La Liga titles, he is now set to bid farewell – and is expected to seal a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia.

The striker has proven to be a huge talent in front of goal during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring 353 goals across all competitions.

Benzema also won last year’s Ballon d’Or title, putting him amongst the greats of world football.

However, his Madrid chapter is coming to an end, with the Frenchman set to reveal his departure on Thursday afternoon as first reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

Benzema is said to have informed Madrid of his desire to move, and has also consulted former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo about a switch to Saudi Arabia, with the latter playing for Al Nassr.

Madrid will now be set to enter the market to find a replacement, with Kane being a eyed as their next potential ‘Galactico’.

As per The Times, Tottenham star Kane is a top target for the 14-time Champions League winners.

Such interest could spell bad news for Manchester United who are already making plans to submit a summer bid for his services.

Kane recently concluded the season with 30 Premier League goals but only has one year left on his deal.

talkSPORT understands that Spurs are confident of keeping their star man at the club beyond the summer.

However if he was to move, Kane would certainly be able to fill the void left by Benzema, who has proven to be one of the greatest strikers the game has ever seen.
