The party was reacting to a statement made by the Ondo State governor’s aide, Doyin Odebowale, who said on national television that it was only mischief makers that would ask for the whereabouts of his principal. And that the PDP can not force him to return to Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Recall that on Tuesday, the Ondo PDP gave Akeredolu a 24-hour ultimatum to address the people of the state and return to his office in Akure, or resign from office. Akeredolu, since his return from his medical trip to Germany, has been running Ondo State affairs from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital

However, the PDP in the statement issued yesterday by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, said Odebowale’s argument was illogical. The party said it was ignorant of Odebowale to think that the opposition party had no business demanding the whereabouts of the governor.

The PDP noted that “On a good day, it would have been unnecessary to react to Doyin Odebowale’s illogical argument about why Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has not been seen in Ondo State because he who drums for a madman is himself insane.
