The former Spurs midfielder claimed that Son, who went into his previous Premier League game without a goal, gave Arsenal’s summer signing a ‘six-game headstart’ in terms of goals, before catching him inside ’30 minutes’.

Spurs played Leicester City last Saturday, dispatching the bottom-of-the-table team for six, with Son coming off the bench and causing absolute havoc against Brendan Rodgers’s side.

At the time, it put Son level on goals – three – with Jesus in the Premier League, before the £45 million Arsenal man (Sky Sports) pushed ahead of him after scoring during his side’s comprehensive win at Brentford 24 hours later.

All in all, it sets up a pretty mouthwatering north London encounter which will take centre stage after the conclusion of the current international break.

Jenas spoke about Son’s recent hat-trick, how he had a different perspective from the bench and then Jesus reacting to his rival opening his new account for the season, as he told MOTDx.

“Son is always going to try and he is always going to work,” said Jenas. “But sometimes you need a different perspective from the bench, you get to see the team and you get to see the gaps.

It was no doubt the South Korean’s star best goalscoring season of his career and his first Golden Boot award.

But can Jesus score more goals than Son in the Premier League this season? He has certainly started the campaign better than the Spurs speedster, although he has flown back into form.

Whatever happens, one thing is for sure, this is going to be some battle between the north London duo because it has been a long time since both sets of fans were very happy with what they are seeing from their team.
