Man City and Pep Guardiola were hosting former captain, Vincent Kompany who returned to the Etihad as Manager of Burnley. Despite playing well and giving a good account of themselves, the Belgian’s team were dismantled by a very rampant Man City team.

Erling Haaland got things off to a start with a customary goal which he doubled before eventually tripling it. Julian Alvarez scored twice for himself while youngster, Cole Palmer rounded off the scoring.

For Haaland, he scored his 42nd goal for City in this season alone and he is on course to reach 50 which will be a half century of goals for the Norwegian Forward at his new club.

No Player in European football has more goals than Haaland in all competitions this season and to make matters more interesting, the striker has way more goals than his actual appearances for Man City.
