Chelsea and Manchester City are set to agree terms over the signing of Raheem Sterling. Initially, Chelsea wanted to sign Brazilian winger Raphina before the winger chose to sign for Barcelona.
Even though Raphina has not joined Barca due to a low fee submitted by Barcelona, Chelsea have moved to agree a deal with Manchester City as they look to sign the English man who has fallen out of favour under Pep Guordiola.
Raphina and Sterling plays in the same position and Tuchel seems to like Sterling. He was on top of his list since,Sterling was also willing to join Chelsea some weeks ago.
According to Romano Fabrizio, both clubs have agreed on the fee and the player will soon join Chelsea. Fabrizio states that Sterling is set to become a Chelsea FC player.If he signs for Chelsea, Raphina deal could collapse since it is impossible to sign two top players in one position.
The London side will now focus on signing a defender. Manchester City and Netherlands defender Nathan Ake has been on top of the list for Chelsea.Tuchel wants atleast one central defender after the departure of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid. Another option is Joules Kounde of Sevilla.
