He also stated that before they leave to graze their cattle, they are being thought how to behave towards their fellow humans and others, the Fulani herdsmen are peaceful and they are always thought to be peaceful before going out for grazing.
He said that those who are violent are the ones who have been pushed to the wall and have also vowed never to tolerate it anymore. He believes that they can’t suddenly become violent overnight, they must have passed through harsh things at the hands of people which made them become violent and start killing people.
He said they pass through training and instructions almost every day and he believes they heed the warnings and instructions being given to them. There’s no doubt that some Fulani herdsmen have caused a lot of trouble in the country but Sheikh Gumi stood his ground to defend them saying they are peaceful people.
