Both players were teammates at French Ligue 2 side, Grenoble. Walid who played as a right full back stayed at the club from 2007 to 2009 which was during the twilight of his career while Oliver Giroud played in the club’s youth setup and then got a promotion to the main team where he started his professional career.
While Walid Regragui will be in the dugout dishing out tactical instructions to his Moroccan team, Oliver Giroud, who has already scored four goals at the ongoing tournament will make sure that they defend the FIFA World Cup in the final which will take place against either Argentina or Croatia.
