Ex-Chelsea Star, Timo Werner Inspires Bundesliga Giant To A Remarkable 4-2 Home League Victory

Former Chelsea football club of England forward maestro, Timo Werner was in action today for Rasenballsport Leipzig in their 34th league game of of the current German Bundesliga season against Schalke at the Red Bull Arena.

The 27 year old German international was handed a role to play in his team’s starting XI line-up following his outstanding performance for his team in their previous game and he was able to play his part and also contributed his quota.

Timo Werner in the game was a big threat for the host at the heart of the attacking line as he made some decisive moves in the opposition box with his impactful minutes spent on the pitch of play.

The host in the first half of the game took a double lead courtesy of goals from Konrad Laimer and Christopher Nkunku in the 10th and 19th minute respectively to make it two nil, before the visitor got the deficit reduced in the 28th minute with a goal from Marcin Kaminski to make it two goals to one going into the half time break.

The visitor in the second half of the game were able to step up their level of delivery as they got levelled with an equalizer in the 49th minute courtesy of an own-goal from Willi Orban, as he made it 2-2 after putting the ball into his own net.

The host after conceding an equalizer were able to also get their form fully back on track thereby scored two late goals from Yussuf Poulsen and Christopher Nkunku who completed his brace in the 82nd and 94th minute respectively, as it ended four goals to two at full time.

Timo Werner with his great influx of influence in the thrilling encounter will be hoping to maintain the standard for his team in the next campaign as they ended the season at the third spot on the table.
