Evans Kosgei, a young man deeply in love, took to Twitter to broadcast his supposed heinous act: the murder of his longtime girlfriend, Jackline Kimaiyo.
What began as a tale of teenage love and sacrifice turned into a tragic ending. Kosgei went missing on Sunday, March 10, and was found dead in Kiambu county.
His baby mama, a dedicated teacher in Mathira East, was found dead. The circumstances of her death were horrifying, and the aftermath revealed a heart-wrenching backstory.
Before the brutal murder, Kosgei had taken to social media, airing his grievances against Jackline. He accused her of infidelity, claiming she was planning to leave him for another man.
Despite sacrificing everything to pay her school fees at Murang’a University, Kosgei felt betrayed. His tweets painted a picture of a relationship unravelling at the seams.
