Europa League: Ten Hag’s Strongest XI That Could See Man Utd Book Their Place In The Quarter-finals

Manchester United have been handed a fresh injury concern ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League second leg round of 16 against Real Betis.

Alejandro Garnacho is the player in question, the youthful sensation left the Threatre of Dreams with the help of crutches after picking up an ankle injury off against Southampton in last weekend’s Premier league match & there are now big worries that the injury could be serious than initially thought.

The Argentina international joins Christian Eriksen, Donny Van De Beek on the treatment table, while Victor Lindelof, Marcel Sabitzer will need to be assessed to determine their availability.

However, Anthony Martial could get some minutes in his legs off the substitutes bench as he fights his way back into the team, but Marcus Rashford should be confident of a start centrally as the England international aims to make history in Europe.

A goal on Thursday would see the Englishman become the youngest English player and youngest player of the Premier League heavyweights to net 25 major European goals & may displace Wout Weghorst who didn’t last until the interval vs the Saints before he was substituted.

Bruno Fernandes, Antony and Jadon Sancho will all be tasked with the responsibility of unlocking the opposition backline with their creative prowess.

Casemiro & Fred will continue in the centre of the park with the latter’s Red card not impacting European games.

The defence could see some altercations with Harry Maguire and Tyrell Malacia displacing Shaw and Lisandro Martinez in the backline.
